Over the last 5 years we've opened stores, hosted brands, supported new producers. Now we're focusing on our mission to source the very best products, and help you find the right ones. Read our story below.
November 2013 the team and I converted my design studio into a mens store. In 21 days we sourced, crafted and hustled this beautiful little store into life. The vision was to sell only products that were innovative, definitive or original.
We had to test everything, and made deep connections with our suppliers, backing other young brands as best we could.
It was only supposed to be a for a few weeks but we got the indie retail bug, bad.
A year later we took a brave step into the unknown and refurbished a beautiful old store in the heart of Edinburgh city centre.
Here we held great parties, sold the largest selection of beard oil in the world, opened a barbers, had our own cafe and really just made the most inclusive and best independent store we could. We even got listed in the Wallpaper City Guide.
We loved this space and the community it was home to. It allowed us to really experiment with what retail meant and make some great friends.
By the summer of 2018 we realised the best way to serve our community, both locally and globally was to focus purely on helping find the right product.
There are so many options out there for grooming, gifts, lifestyle, fashion, interiors and books that it's almost impossible to decide what's right.
So we've cut out out the process of us actually buying and selling, and we're going to use our expertise to show you were to get what you need.
We're going to stay indie focused, actually test the products ourselves and support new brands. We're just not going to try be all things, to all men.
Buying Christmas beard gifts for the man in your life can be tricky no matter if they are your brother, boyfriend or dad, even the bearded ones.
However, if the guy has a beard, you can be certain that some beard care items and or some form of facial hair item will be loved and cherished way beyond Christmas time.
