A good beard is a habit, not a purchase. Get a few simple things right and most beard problems never show up. This is the whole system in one place, built from over a decade of helping men get it right.
The four habits
- Wash two or three times a week with a dedicated beard wash, not shampoo.
- Condition with a balm or conditioner to put moisture back.
- Oil daily, a few drops worked into damp skin and hair.
- Brush to spread the oil and lie the hair down, then trim every few weeks.
What changes by length
Stubble: focus on the skin underneath with a light oil or hydrating serum to beat the itch. Short beard: add a wash and a weekly balm, and start shaping the neckline. Long beard: a richer oil, regular brushing and a proper comb become essential to keep it tidy and tangle-free.
The common problems
Itch and flaking are almost always dry skin: wash less, oil more. Beard dandruff responds to a gentle wash and an oil with tea tree. Patchiness is mostly genetics and time, but keeping the skin healthy gives every hair its best chance. Brittle, splitting ends are a moisture problem, not a growth one.
Start with oil. Add the rest as you go. And if you are stuck, ask us.
