A short guide to replacing your wallet
Buying a new wallet can feel exceptionally difficult. It's easy to become attached to the trusty wallet you've had for years – after all, it has precisely the right number of spaces you need for your cards. However, there comes a point where you realise you've been pocketing a tattered old wallet every day for several years, and it's time to make a change. Here's a quick guide to buying wallets, whether you're looking for a new way to keep your own cash safe, or you're trying to buy a gift for a loved one:
Durability
If you want a wallet to last (and we assume you do), we recommend that you invest in leather. Though leather is slightly pricier than synthetic materials, it will last far longer. When buying a leather wallet you can be rest assured that as well as being durable there are plenty of colour and style options available. If you're choosing a wallet as a gift, it's worth noting that leather gifts for men are always great options.
Style
The style of wallet you choose should depend on what is being kept in it. A simple card holder or even a cash clip may be ideal for some while others will require something bulkier to keep their change in one place. Slim leather wallets are a safe option in that they look stylish, fit in most pockets, and will be useful to most people.
Multipurpose Wallets
If you want to buy a gift for someone who's going travelling (remember that self-gifting is more than acceptable), consider purchasing a travel wallet. Travel wallets include space for a passport as well as the standard cash and cards combination. In the age of mobile phones, some may prefer to have a wallet that can double as a phone case. Note that multipurpose wallet designs tend to be bulkier, and will take up more space than a standard sleeve wallet.
